Without much notice, Lenovo has gone public with a product-tour YouTube video for its 9.7-inch (1,024 x 768 IPS LCD) tablet. This Android 4.0 device comes in an 8.9mm-thick, gunmetal-finish unibody shell that packs a 1.3-megapixel front camera (yet no back camera), microSD slot, micro-HDMI, micro-USB and 10 hours worth of battery juice.

Sony confirmed that an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update is soon headed to the Tablet S and Tablet P. The devices will receive an Android 4.0.3 update next month, however it is sketch whether this is only for the Japanese market. Speculation is pointing to a Nokia launch of a Windows 8-based tabletin the 4th quarter of this year. The new tablet is believed to have a 10-inch screen and run a dual-core Qualcomm ARM processor. The chip inside is expected to be the Snapdragon S4 Krait.
The Windows 8 device by Nokia is expected to be built by Compal who will be making around 200,000 of them for launch.

ASUS first announced the PadFone back in May of last year where it was made official. After several months, we now hear that the company will likely be launching the device in April of this year.

LG recently introduced the new Optimus Vu 5-inch tablet, a week before the handset’s Mobile World Congress debut. The Vu features a 5-inch IPS display and is a hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet. The device is thinner than the competing Samsung Galaxy Note, coming in a 8.5 millimeters.

Sprint just announced the much anticipated HTC EVO 3D and the HTC EVO View 4G tablet, and said that it will be on shelves June 24th.

Apple will rock their new 4G LTE-enabled iPad 3 tablet later this year according to a china-based research firm. They say that Apple’s iPad 3 will launch before Christmas.
