Three months after Google announced Jelly Bean, Sprint is finally updated the Galaxy Nexus smartphone to the latest version of Android. The update includes the normal benefits of Jelly Bean such as Google Now, offline voice dictation and the Project Butter user interface, however it will also remove Flash support.

LG is preparing to launch a high-end smartphone that will rival the Galaxy S III. The handset, known as the Optimus G, has a 4.7-inch True HD display, a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, LTE connectivity and a 13-megapixel rear camera. Kyocera has just announced the “Rise” with QWERTY keyboard, available on Sprint August 19th for $20 (after a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year commitment), and on Virgin Mobile with a prepaid version on August 31st for $100.

Verizon Wireless will begin to sell Windows Phone handsets towards the end of March. The HTC 7 Trophy, the same CDMA WP7 handset to be carried by Sprint, could be announced as early as February 28th. The device will have Microsoft’s “NoDo” update (also known as the copy and paste update) and should retail for $199.99 with a signed two-year contract. Anyone waiting for this phone?
