Virgin Mobile announced last Thursday that starting June 29, 2012, the Sprint subsidiary will be offering the Apple iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S as available models on their prepaid services. With the development, Virgin will become the second prepaid carrier in the United States to offer iPhones as part of their stock.

In the latest gadget news, or should we say ‘the rumor mill’, Apple will introduce the next iPhone in September, possibly alongside the iPad 3.

Even though we reported that Apple and AT&T were each blocking employee vacations and making preparations for increased foot traffic in September, back then an obvious indicator that was when the iPhone 5 was launching, a new rumor suggests the iPhone won’t actually launch until October.

Yesterday Apple released an updated version of its iTunes software. iTunes 10.2.1 includes the same change log as the previous version of the software, which could indicate that this build addresses a bug discovered in iTunes 10.2. The need to issue this bug fix so soon after iTunes 10.2 was released could also be the reason iOS 4.3 was not released today.

A Taiwanese newspaper is reporting that Apple, Inc. is toying around with a new design for the iPhone 5, ditching the current design of the more square-mold look of the iPhone 4.
