Facebook just announced that it rebuilt its iPhone and iPad app from the ground up for a faster and more enjoyable user experience. The company says that the Facebook 5.0 for iOS is twice as fast as the previous version when launching the app, scrolling through news feed and opening photos in feed.

The 80-million subscriber, Photo-sharing app, Instagram, is detailing its latest user interface today, Instagram 3.0, and it’s geo-location is the prime theme here. iPhone 5 has been rumored to include 4G LTE for a long time. Now, according to code strings in iOS 5.1, the next iPhone will indeed feature 4G LTE connectivity.

Tim Cook just announced at the Apple event in San Francisco additional language capabilities for Siri. A Taiwanese newspaper is reporting that Apple, Inc. is toying around with a new design for the iPhone 5, ditching the current design of the more square-mold look of the iPhone 4. Specifically, a milled aluminum backing with the antenna integrated into the rear Apple logo is being considered for the iPhone 5. Verizon has just put the iPad 2 on their website, and says that the Apple updated tablet will be available on the launch date, March 11th.
