Phtos of a new HTC device, code-named the “Proto”, hit the interwebs, and it looks like the company’s follow-up to the One series that launched earlier this year.  The Verge brought these to light, and they say the Proto is just 9.62 millimeters thin and features a four-inch WVGA display, a 5-megapixel camera and a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor.

Verge describes the phone’s overall design as “a rounded, flowing case that more closely mimics the higher-end models in the One range.”  This phone looks as though its specs are a dumbed-down version of the HTC One X+ that’s been rumored to launch this fall.  The Proto will likely fall near the low end of HTC’s offerings, just ahead of the Christmas.
